Asthma Treatment

Asthma inhalers are covered under most health insurance plans and should not be hard to come by if you have a legitimate asthmatic issue.  While inhalers are typically prescribed to all patients who have received an asthma diagnosis, they can also be used to treat exercise induced asthma as well.  Pediatric asthma doctors tend to prescribe asthma nebulizers rather than inhalers to smaller children who suffer from asthma.  Asthma nebulizers simply deliver the asthma medication to the body in a different way, but are just as effective.  If you feel that you or your child’s asthma doctor has not been giving you the appropriate asthma medications, be sure to find a new one right away!

Pediatric Asthma

Experiencing an asthma attack can be very scary at any age, but particularly for small children.  It’s important to let your children know the importance of their asthma remedies and remind them to keep them on hand at all times, especially during sporting events!  You should visit your allergist a few times to year to make sure your asthma is being treated as effectively as possible.  Some allergic symptoms can be confused with asthma symptoms, so it’s important to visit an experienced allergy doctor to get the best diagnosis and treatment out there.
