Advanced Immune Disorders Diagnostics

Chronic and Recurrent Infections - Immune Testing

Immune deficiency (weakness) and immune disorders are common and may develop anytime during one’s life. They present as recurrent and chronic infections, chronic autoimmune inflammation, rare infections or infections resistant to antibiotics. They usually take years before being properly diagnosed and managed. Frequent or chronic sinus infections (sinusitis), ear infections (otitis), nasal polyps, past or recent pneumonia(s) may often be symptoms of a latent (i.e. hidden) immunodeficiency. Examples of immune disorders leading to chronic, autoimmune (“self-reactive”) inflammation are inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. The recurrent and chronic ear and sinus infections, bronchitis, pneumonias may be repeatedly treated with antibiotics in urgent care, ER or primary care settings, but the correct diagnosis of the underlying immune disorder stays unrecognized for years. Thus, sensitive laboratory tests leading to accurate diagnosis of the latent immune disorders and deficiencies are critical. We in Premier Allergy and Asthma Centers (AACC) provide such services at the highest level. We have recently implemented a unique, cutting-edge laboratory testing method to diagnose even subtle immune disorders. This sophisticated immune testing using flow cytometry is now available to our patients.

Our Advanced Immune Testing Panel provides testing results which cannot be readily obtained elsewhere, including commercial labs (e.g. Labcorp or Quest) and which are NOT available in other allergy/immunology offices. This testing panel provides us with detailed information about the multiple types of patient’s immune cells and their numbers.
If you suffer from recurrent and chronic ear or sinus infection, bronchitis, had pneumonia(s) and/or nasal polyps, do not wait and set up an immune disorder consultation and advanced immune testing in Premier Allergy and Asthma Centers. The patients with autoimmune disorders should also undergo such a consultation and sophisticated immune testing in AACC. The testing requires only simple blood draw and is performed in a CAP/CLIA accredited laboratory. We conveniently arrange the sample collection and a consultation with Dr. Bocek in AACC to review the results.
