Five Common Allergies – And Tips to Get Rid of Them

AllergyAllergies can make anyone so annoyed and sick that doing normal day to day work can become difficult and almost impossible.

Five common allergens which cause allergy:

1. Pollens: These are allergens which are normally present in the air and are required for the flora and fauna on our planet. The basic origin of pollens is plants and the season of pollination is Spring season but different plants generate pollens in different seasons, so, allergies triggered by these pollens can happen any time of year.

2. Mold: It’s a type of fungi which grows in moist and warm weather and releases spore which get spread in the air and hence cause inflammation in the respiratory system or we can say airways.

3. Pets or animal hair: Animal hair has a coating of proteins around them to keep them healthy and shiny, this protein leads to allergic reactions which can cause irritation in the respiratory system.

4. Latex: It contains a protein which starts the allergic reaction which can be severing in some cases and it becomes a regular problem for the people who are related to the health industry.

5. Food: There exist n number of products which causes food allergies, from peanut butter to wheat anything can trigger allergic reactions and in some cases consequences can be fatal.

How to manage and cure these Allergies:

Many allergy doctors around the world believe that allergies can’t be cured specifically in case of adults, though if  treated properly they can be cured in the case of children. But that doesn’t mean that you need to suffer with every change of season because you can manage them well. In case you are allergic to pollens try to maintain your lawn frequently. Take prescribed allergy medication and keep updated with your allergist. In case of mold keep your surroundings clean and dry. Try and do research about pets you can keep who doesn’t trigger allergy like a Chihuahua. Avoid food items which make you suffer because of an allergic reaction. To know the allergen which is causing you allergy is must so, visit a good allergist or immunologist and discover it. Follow the treatment religiously. And of course keep writing about any changes you feel is happening in your allergic reaction because it is very much possible that you are allergic to more than one allergen.
